Medical Device Division
With 38 years experience, this division has evolved into a major contract manufacturer of implants and instruments for medical device OEM’s around the world. rms offers a complete menu of value-added manufacturing services with a primary core competency in high precision machining of complex, tight tolerance devices…from prototypes to high volume production.
In addition to high precision machining, rms offers a wide range of secondary processes to provide products at the customers desired level of completion. These processes can ultimately lead to finished devices that are packaged, labeled, sterilized and ready for stock
rms focuses on providing products and services that meet or exceed customer’s exacting requirements. This is achieved by absolute conformance to all specifications, constant process improvements and robust training programs to enhance employee skill levels. A real-time statistical process control (SPC) system monitors key process variables during manufacturing to maintain consistent quality. In addition to having FDA Registered Facilities, rms holds several regulatory accreditations including ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485.
rms is a leader in technology and continuously acquires state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment capable of simultaneously providing higher throughput and consistent quality. That equipment is further leveraged with carefully designed processes utilizing cellular workflow principles to achieve the lowest total cost.
This division operates from two high tech facilities. The Minneapolis, Minnesota headquarters is focused on the manufacture of implants while the Memphis, Tennessee plant is dedicated exclusively to the manufacture of orthopedic instruments.
Aerospace Connector Division
The rms Connector Division manufactures a line of cylindrical electrical connectors complying with Boeing aircraft standards. Products are sold directly to the airframe and aircraft systems manufacturers as well through distribution.
rms was awarded the prestigious Boeing Presidents Award for Excellence attesting to the quality and delivery performance of this division.
